In the year of 2022 the IWD theme is #BreakTheBias. My street photography practice has led me to both formal skate parks and urban spaces where skate culture is inhabited. I have been making images amongst these spaces for three years, spending hours in the concrete world of skaters in all their wonderful diversity. In a time when it is crucial mainstream society breaks the gender bias, at large this space already has, and serves as a no-nonsense grass roots example of gender inclusion and respect. I continue to learn from this community, witnessed the diminishing gender gap and seen more and more women and LGBTQ grow and thrive within it.

The fluidity and gritty grace of the skater silhouette personifies empowerment and forms an integral part of my stencil art.

FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY and STENCIL ART / MIXED MEDIA
I am a fine art photographer and mixed media artist. My practice has evolved from classic
fine art photography to creative digital artistry and mixed media work. All my art is borne
of moments captured through the lens, often expanded with tangible practices of multi
layered hand stencil cutting and the exploration of colour, form and texture utilizing
mixed media and aerosol.
I reside in Eumundi, co-own/direct a gallery in Lightning Ridge and have a growing street
art practice based out of Fitzroy, Melbourne. In a nutshell I am a creative nomad
