Kilagi Nielsen

I was born in (Kemabolo) a rural village, in Rigo district of. PNG

There are very few services in rural areas. We had to make anything we needed, and grow our own food. Everyone had to learn the skills developed over thousands of years, or

go without. We also learnt about natural medicine, hunting skills, and our history.

I was involved in getting our local school reopened, so my nieces and nephews, could

get an education.

Corruption in Politics has cheated us, of making progress in our everyday life.

The Australian Aboriginals, have been deprived of passing on this knowledge.

I have been presenting workshops for many years. In Private and Public schools, for Church Groups, Permaculture groups, and other interested Cultures.

I get a lot of encouragement to come to new areas. In Mackay I was welcomed by the South Sea Islanders , In Brisbane I was asked Stradbroke Island and Torres Strait Groups.

Many follow my work to Festivals, as Festuri, Tall Trees, Australian Wearable Art, Booingari, Mary Valley, and Nature Play for Children.
